No More Progress....

But the end is near!

We had our weekly checkup yesterday for 39 weeks, he is still really low but still no dilation. Effacement was not mentioned but Dr. Allen did say my cervix was softer. Dr. Allen let us know that his practice is to not let his patients go past 41 weeks. So we have another appt for my due date 9/3 and if nothing has happened by then an induction will be scheduled.

You never want an induction but there has to be an end eventually. So I am okay with it. What ever happens happens. I have been having some pretty inconsistent contractions. I know I had a few last friday, then painful ones on Tuesday with back pain, a few yesterday and none today. I thought it would have given me some progress but I guess not. Oh well.....he will be here soon regardless.

Next week will be my last week of work, I am pretty sure we will schedule the induction between the 8th and the 10th if needed. It would be really neat to have him on 9/10 bc that is the date that Tim and I got engaged. I am hoping I can avoid the 9/11 date all together, I know he wont know any diff about that date but I do and if I can help it I dont want to chance it.

I have been able to get tons of things done this week at work and really feel like I have wrapped up as much stuff as I can, almost so that I will be very bored next week if I am there the whole time! It is nice to know that I only have 4 days left of work at the most. I am so tired of everyone asking me how many more days......like I have any idea. Le me get my crystal ball and see what it says...jackass! I brought my laptop home today just in case I dont make it back there Tuesday. I am glad we have a long weekend, more time to rest and just spend some more time with Tim.

We went to dinner tonight, tomorrow we will clean the house a little and visit with family that are coming over, Sunday I hope to get to BRU to use some coupons and pick up a few more things, then Monday rest and maybe dinner with Ethan and Katie. Tim swears the baby will be here this weekend, we shall see! But for now I am just taking it easy and not worrying too much, like I said there is an end near and I am still some what comfortable, sleeping is still easy to come by so I cant complain there. 5 days till due date and possibly less than 13 days till we meet our son. I hope my next post involves pictures of our son!
