So I weighed this morning and Im still 150. Im not sure if I should be thankful I am keeping my goal of maintaining through the summer or bummed I have'nt lost a few since my eating has changed a lot the past week. Maybe it just hasnt been enough time to tell a diff.
Im okay with it for now I guess. I have maintained this weight plus a lb or two since mid May. With all the traveling and socializing we do in the summer I should really thank my lucky stars.
I got up this morning! I layed and there and played the Ill do it tomorrow game and then made my self get up. I walked 2 miles on the treadmill and felt great afterwards. Why does this happen? I know I will feel great and accomplished once Im done but I have to talk myself in and out of it all the time. By now shouldnt it just come natural?
I have to work late tonigh but im still getting up in the morning.....its my punishment for skipping the first 2 days of the week. You play you pay ;)
Next weekend we head to the beach for the weekend, we are staying on the beach so I plan to take my running shoes and get a walk in early since Ill be up anyway with AT. Tim can hang out with him while I hit the sand. I hope I like it?
So onto next week. I keep telling myself that every summer is like this and I go into vacation mode but when most people hibernate in the winter I workout! I use that extra time we arent out socializing or at the pool to get on the treadmill. Dont ask me why but its just easier for me in the winter.
**PS - AT has started walking some....he has new videos in his blog.....my baby is growing up WAY too fast!

Good for you for getting up and walking! Don't be so hard on yourself if you can't, though. You are a mommy, a career woman, a wife, etc - you have so much going on. If you can get in 3-4 days a week that is awesome! But if you don't wake up 5 mornings in a row it's totally ok. You are eating GREAT so that helps a lot! And yea, I think it might probably take a little while to register that on the scale? Also - you sound like you are having such a fun summer w/ all of the trips! GOOD FOR YOU for not gaining any weight too! I know that when I go on trips my motivation goes out the door (and as you saw - doesn't come back for weeks afterwards), that I surely would have gained a million lbs if it were me. Hehe.
I think holding steady all summer is great, especially considering all the traveling that you have been doing! That's hard on anyone. Give yourself a few weeks to get used to the new morning workouts and the new dietary changes, and I'm sure you'll see the # on the scale go down.
There's not much summer left, so you should enjoy it! :)
