Half Posting?

Thats whats been going on lately it seems. Giving you bits and peices of whats really going on. Its been a while since Ive really sat down and wrote a good blog post. Not that there is anything earth shattering going on....its just constant business.

Sleep, work, home, eat, try to work out, chores/AT, time with the hubby. Rinse. Wash. Repeat.

I have stepped up my game on working out - hence my half hearted bday post. I started walking my property. That sounds funny doesnt it, but if you have been to the house and seen my driveway you'll pity me ;) That is a killer hill! Proof -

In treadmill terms it has to be at least a 8 incline, Im leaning towards 10 but Ill guess 8. I walk the property 10 times, then walk the driveway and steps an additional 5 reps. It gets my heart pumping but I cnat gauge if its really working.....but its an option.

So I start here


Make my way on the road to the side yard, staying as close to the tree line as I can.


& around the back. Repeat.


Ive also added HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training back in. But only on the treadmill. I havent walked outside any this week bc of the heat. I can say I notice my treadmill walking more than outside. But it does give me a good option if AT just cant sit in the house one more second. I will giv ehim credit he has taken to playing in the basement in his play area while I walk. He's giving his puzzles a good workout ;)

Ive started the dreaded calorie counting again. But I knew it would open my eyes and it has. Ive already cleaned up our dinners over the past few monhths but I need to focus on my lunches now. Im reading a great book too. LOVE HER!



Ive already learned so much. & have found myself already using it. Example: Last night I wanted one of those 100 cal choc covered pretzel snacks. So I started it bc my calories were pretty good for the day. There are IDK 15 in there maybe. I got to about the 10th one and I was kind of over it. The food high was gone for me at that point. So I stopped myself from finishing just bc it was there. Asked Tim if he wanted it ;) So Ive already noticed my "food voice" the voice that tells me "you really dont want the rest of that - its all good you've had your fix". I listened!

Thats one of the principles she teaches aobut in the book, and a few other great tips about ordering at a restaurant etc. Its just a good eye opening book in genral I recc...and I also just love her. Bethenney is one hilarious chick!

So Ive given myself 1 year to lose these last 10lbs. Im okay with that, I know another baby isnt on the horizon anytime soon---sorry to disspoint. I have plenty of friends who will fill that void by winters end ;) Plus I honestly think a year is a reasonable goal. Losing it slow will help me keep it off. So heres to me, and working at my pace to get it accomplished and helping my family live healtier in general. Im not stressing it Im just taking it a day at a time, which is the best medicine for me right now.

As for this weekend - hardly any plans which sounds awesome. Hopefully date night with Tim to a restaurant we havent been to in a while and hope to take in this view at least once or twice.
