So my 5am workout didnt happen this morning...I was kidding myself thinking it would. I want you to look at my schedule and help me see where I can possibly fit it in.
6am - wake up
7am - out the door
7:30 am - hit the office
4pm- leave the office
4:30pm - home
4: 30pm to 6pm - cooking, feeding AT, mail, prepping for the next day, pick up house best I can
Somewhere btwn 6pm and 7pm - AT and I shower, have a little play time
7:30 to 8pm - Put AT to bed, spend quality time with hubby
9pm or 9:30pm - Bed
I know, I know there is 30m somewhere in there to get it in! But where!? And when will it fit that I wont have a screaming toddler trying to join me on the treadmill. Okay, okay he wont be screaming but I know he will try and join me on the treadmill making it a hazard for himself. So I would put up a gate....then we are back to the screaming part.
DH helps me with all the chores once we get home, dinner, prepping for the next day, whatever small projects we have that needs to be done. I know many of the responses will be for him to watch AT while I work out...and maybe youre right, but this little window of time shouldnt just be reserved for me. He needs his unwind time too.
So should we both come to a compromise and split up the week with that precious hour of time that we can squeeze out? Maybe I can take AT on Mon & Wed and he can take him for me on Tues and Thurs? Making sure I get 45 to an hr of some form of exercise in.
The other 2 days I have reserved for workouts (Fri & Sun) i can make sure I take advantage of naps. I will confess this was SO much easier when AT wasnt mobile.....I could plop him on the activity mat and sweat away....those days are gone. But I cant let that stop me!
Tell me, how do you fit it in? Where do you carve out the time to fit it all in.

I don't, have you seen me lately? All jokes aside, it is really hard, and nearly impossible. I don't guess I have much advice, just know you're not the only one! I keep saying I'm going to get up and run at 5:30, but it's yet to happen. I was running after he went to bed, but that's after 8 and just so late.
I would love to know the answer to this too. Being a working mom is kicking my butt! I miss the gym!! :-(
