This post shows Dec 30th....but it was so long and has so much content that Im actually finishing it on Dec 31. The last day of 2009. I really cant believe how fast this year has gone. To think this time last year I was getting my first taste of AT STTN. Now he goes down without a peep, and sleeps till 7am every morning. Well unless little white bones are coming through his gums or a nasty bug gets in his ear. Other than that hes good as gold.
As much as Im glad this year is over for many reasons we still had some great times, my mind is so blurry from exactly everything that occured lets see if I can try to recap just a few of this years events in pictures. Dont get me wrong it was a good year.....but for some reason a fresh start sounds really good right now, full of new possibilites and opportunties.
January
Was hard.....we were still learning to be new parents, I was trying to get back in the swing of things at work (yes still! even though maternity leave was more than over), and I proceeded to chain myself to the treadmill in hopes of losing some baby fat. I did pretty well up until the summer I lost a little over 20lbs. But as you will see later its time to re-focus. AT here in this photo graced us with his very first belly laugh! A memory I will have forever!

February
This picture is everything I dreamed my life would be. The 2 most important people in the world = HAPPY
March
We had snow! Oh and a week later it was 70 degrees. I was very over winter!
April
K was prepparing for her big day so we headed to the NC mtns for a girls getaway that just happened to have an awesome spa! It was heaven!
My step-sister Jennifer got married, she has waited so long for Mr. Right and I was over joyed with pride for her! We practically grew up together and lost touch in HS but I still love her to death and wish her nothing but happiness.
AT's first trip to the ocean....Holden Beach, NC

The Big Day! How many people can say they have a couple of friends and they are BFF's with both of them! I was SO excited these 2 finally tied the knot. It was an awesome time!
My 1st Mothers Day

September
Was full of vacation and parties. Hilton Head Island, SC turned out to be another sacred place to remember. Our son celebrated his first birthday on the very island Tim and I committed completely to each other and became engaged. Do I see a retirement spot? :)
October
I guess this was the month of saying goodbye. Both exciting and heartbreaking at the same time. We decided for good to sale our home of 5yrs. We have had many memories here but we are ready to make an upgrade and expand our family in the coming years. It will all workout somehow.
We sadly had to say good bye to Uncle Richard. Im ashamed that I dont have an online pic of him thats any good. This was last Jan whne he came down from VA to spend a belated Christmas with us. He was like a 2nd father to Tim and he will be very missed. It was a hard Christmas this year for MIL, Im so glad we were there to help her heal.
November
I went STRAIGHT! Not that straight ;) I decided I needed a change and I love it! Im not sure it will ever be curly again unless my alarm clock doesnt go off. Im hoping to get it cut a little to help with the time factor. But its one thing that makes me feel pretty right now, so why not!
December
Ill just call it family time, the whole month was spent hanging out with family, at work and at home. We attended tons of parties and had a great week in OH. I cant wait to share many many more with my guys!
Hopes and Dreams for 2010
So I may be ruining our luck by posting pics but I cant help it! We love this place. We are just crossing our fingers it all works out. It will take some adjustments living so far from Winston but we will make it work. Its not that its very far from Winston its just not easy to get too. If you live in WS and hang out with us often.....we may suggest meeting in HP...its half way ;)
So here it is! (the front pic is from when it was first built, sans grass)

Here is a video off of the back deck. Dont mind our crazy agent and his reference to the short bus ;) If it all pans out the deck will eventually be a sunroom.....it even has master suite access.
The basement Tim has always dreamed about.....you could literally play basketball down there!
So thats it! Things are mixing up a bit on our house. We are eligible for the Step up tax credit of $6500 since we have been in our home for 5yrs. So we decided to get real seriuos and lower the price by 10K. We will give it till the tax credit runs out and if it doesnt sell then we will stay put. Its not the decision we want in the end if it doesnt sell but we arent going to settle either. So for now we are keeping an open mind and hoping the spring is good to us. All the while stocking away as much cash as possible.
I guess Ive been avoiding as long as I can so here goes. Im not fitting into my fat clothes very well these days. They fit.....like a glove. Thats not good. I made some major changes to the house recently to help with a setup of a toddler who is going to entertain himself while mommy works out in another room guarded by a gate. Im not locking him in his room I promise just making it where he cant get in the same room with me. So I moved the glider and side table out of his room and made a play area instead. This way he can roam all over the upstairs while I do an exercise video or use the treadmill.
Bottom line is something has to be done. Im out of excuses. Im not where I was in Oct of 08 but Im not at my goal either and I have been eating crap! Crap! Ive updated that little area on this side of this here blog to reflect my true weight, and corrected the scale deciet that was discovered recently. I can do it....ive done it before I just have to make myself. Im not committing myself to 6 days a week or anything, it will more than likely be 4 maybe 5 if it works out. But to be an attainable goal I cant reach to high at first. So the rotation will be Sun, Tues, Thurs, Fri.
I wanted to try something new too so I asked around and found 2 new workouts to add to my treadmill routine. I still have the 30DS but I think Im going to lay off of it this time and try something new. Its always a back up. So heres what I got!

The 10 Min solution comes with a resistance band I have been wanting to try out for a while. 2nd part is I have found some online exercises with a resistance band I could do in my office on lunch, and it will fit in my purse! I have also heard good things about the cardio max and it has 3 sessions to choose from that are no more than 30 min. 30 min being the longest....so I could split it up if I wanted and do more than one thing during a workout.
I just realized I need and want flexibility. I dont like cardio all the time on the treadmill but wouldnt mind doing it in front of the tube once in a while to keep me interested. So im giving it a whirl. The videos werent over $9.....so thats worth the investment for me. I plan on having a workout room at the next house so Im building my library ;) I also ordered a good pedometer and calorie burn counter. I hope it works bc I was committed to wearing one every day....but the battery has to be a good one and this one is.
So there Im tired of typing, your tired of reading and Ill save Cmas for another post. Have a wonderful New Year with your family and revel in what you accomplished or whatever it was that made you smile in 2009.
