I may have a partner!

I think Tim is depressed a little about his weight. He always claims he is busy enough at work to keep him active etc but he just isnt eating right and its starting to catch up with him.

WE bought a scale this week! "WE" have never done that bf. Its always been "ME". I guess he realized since AT broke ours that we needed a nice reliable one. So we found one that we can program, give it goals etc and its very accurate. I know they say the doc scales are more accurate but honestly I dont think they are. You always have to have it sitting in the right place and at just the right angle, its a pain.

He has been looking for things to do to get active. We both really are not interested in joining a gym bc we have precious hrs with AT now during the day much less if we dragged him to a gym in the evening to be watched by someone else that just isnt fair to any of us. We checked out the treadmill I have at home and he is too big for it, he doesnt want to break it and neither of us be able to use it.

He isnt HUGE by any means, he is 6'1 but he does need to drop 30-50 lbs to feel more comf in his skin. So he knows I ordered those exercise videos and have the 30DS too. I think hes on board to do it with me!!! Which I know he is a little nervous and if he sticks with it he may need some weights but right now Im just excited that hes going to make the effort. Once the weather gets better outside I think he going to get out and walk/run. Time will tell what actually happens but I think this time he is serious and wants to make a change. I just need to keep up my part and keep cooking decent and he may need to lay off the beer a little too. ;)

So with my fancy new scale I weighed in this morning. 148.4. Its a nice shiny new number. I guess I cleansed out a little bit being at home and staying busy. It was nice to see that 10lbs in 4 months is a pretty good possibility.

I recieved my pedometer Sat. Its a good one! I was able to enter my weight and height for the calories burner feature. I was able to get a 45m treadmill walk in yesterday with the help of online tv. (90210....yep Im up to season 8). It was nice to use AT's nap for watching it on the treadmill instead of the couch!

Im hoping Tim sees some results in the next few weeks so he doesnt give up so quickly. Its good that we are both doing this together, now I just hope his trust continues to build. I also think hes a little embarrased to work out with me.......I wish that wasnt the case but I think it is!

Wish us both luck!

I'm glad you have a partner. I know having my husband to workout with me is huge! Are there any "guy" videos? I know P90X is guy oriented but long. Is there something like that out there? I made my husband try 30DS once but he didn't like it... too girly and jumpy.
