Perfect

Thats how wonderful our weekend was. We enjoyed every minute of it and I think both surprised each other with our anniversary gifts. Meaning they both made us cry, and realize how far we have actually come in 5 years. It may not be much to some but it was a milestone for us and we both took it too heart.

Here we are all dressed up ready for dinner.

So for the details: there arent many really. I just wanted a rush free afternoon/evening. AT napped till 3:30. So as soon he got up and kissed his daddy goodbye I wisked him off to Pepa's (my gmas) for the evening. I planned to make a crab dip for a party I was attending on Sat night so I thought why not enjoy the sunset on our screened in porch with a glass of wine and an appetizer. So thats what I did. Made us a small batch of crab dip, glass of wine, a beer and just "us". We caught up on what we did that day and just reflected on the evening coming up. I felt bad wisking AT away as soon as Tim walked through the door but we needed that "us" time at that momet. Again it was perfect. I had already given Tim his card that morning bf work so while we enjoyed our appetizer he came out with this - these.

Something Ive wanted for 2 years. Sapphires are AT's birth stone and they are gorgeous. I also have earrings to match. This was SO unexpected! Ill say that again! SO unexpected! I NEVER get jewlery. Never! Its just not something we do like I explained on Thurs. But I think he "got it" that it was important this year. I wouldnt have been bummed by any means had I not gotten something like this I guess thats what makes so meaningful. We also LOVED the place we chose for dinner, I shouldnt have ever worried about it. It was delish, priced right, and we will be back. So that was a win win IMO.

Sat we had a family day and hit up the Transportation Museum about 30min from the house. There was an antique car show there that would satisfy Tim, and of course trains to satisfy AT, as for me I was just happy to be with the both of them for the morning. We rode the train, and walked through all the exhibits. Its something we'll do again once AT gets a bit older. There was alot of walking involved.

As for the rest of the weekend, I attended a MNI that was a great break with great women. Once a month its good to catch up and laugh a little....okay alot! Its def a good time.

Sunday was spent dealing with our dining room ceiling and the explicit lanuguage my husband was throwing its way. Its a whole other post that I really dont want to go into....point blank its pretty much my fault and there has been a 12ft ladder in my dining room for almost a week. I pray we find a way to fix it soon so I can close that chapter!

Busy few weekends coming up with Halloween and the holidays coming our way. Not a lot planned but it seems like something little every weekend that can add up to being busy. Hopefully more updates to come....Im making progress....2 posts in 1 week! Im on a roll ;)
